About Us

TranquilityScapes, your Long Island pond builder, was founded by two brothers who were born and raised on Long Island and who are now serving the Nassau County and Suffolk County regions of Long Island. Having previously obtained degrees in Nursing and Civil Engineering, we decided to start our own company in a field we have a true passion for. We believe by being the owners of the company and completing the work ourselves, our customers have a better overall experience, starting from the consultation phase to the quality of work when completed compared to other large companies where the owners may not even step foot onto your property leaving the quality control in your hands.  Although we aren’t the most inexpensive guy on the block we can assure you we are less expensive than someone who hasn’t dedicated their life to this profession. As with any investment it’s your decision of course if you want to pay what it costs to build it right. We believe it’s a small price to pay for the lifetime of enjoyment we know our workmanship will provide for you and your family.

Our Ethos

A large vision of ours is to replicate an ecosystem approach on water features to ensure sustainability. As an engineer and nurse, our code of ethics exhort us to consciously put the public interest above all others. Therefore, as water is the greatest resource in the world and we all need it to survive, we are dedicated in providing a natural, sustainable, responsible, and creative landscape creations which is why we choose the ecosystem approach. The release of the preliminary Sustainable Sites Initiative report in November 2007 affirmed that “natural environments play an important role in enhancing human health and well-being.” The report further states that managed natural elements improve real estate values, and attract customers, among other benefits. (Standards & Guidelines: Preliminary Report. November 1, 2007. www.sustainablesites.org). Those additional benefits would be the therapeutic benefits of the negative ions released from the waterfalls. Studies have shown that there’s a possible relationship between negative ions and better health e.g. “some reports showed that air enriched with negative ions have multiple beneficial therapeutic effects in normalizing arterial pressure and blood rheology, supporting tissue oxygenation, easing stress conditions, and augmenting resistance to adverse factors.” (Jiang, S., Ma, A., & Ramachandran, S. (2018). Negative Air Ions and Their Effects on Human Health and Air Quality Improvement. International Journal Of Molecular Sciences19(10), 2966. doi: 10.3390/ijms19102966). Above all, if you are an animal lover, by placing a source of water in your yard you are creating an immense impact on wildlife. Don’t believe us? Just watch the video below and see all the wildlife that depend on you. By choosing Tranquilityscapes as your Long Island Pond Contractor you are doing yourself and the wildlife around you a great favor.

Tranquilityscapes is a Certified Aquascape Contractor (CAC). But why hire a CAC? Certified Aquascape Contractors are the most qualified and informed water feature installers in the industry. CAC’s are required to have a minimum number of class hours in both pond building skills and business skills to maintain our status. This includes both classroom seminars and workshops, as well as multi-day advanced pond builds to learn cutting edge technology and techniques. The program was developed almost 20 years ago and it is the longest running program within the industry. We invest a lot of time and money into training ourselves to become the best of the best. All pond installers who wish to become Certified Aquascape Contractors must complete an in-depth application that includes an online training program with exam, customer referrals, pictures of completed water features, and general questions about their business and water gardening philosophy. These applications are then reviewed by technical agents at Aquascape, Inc. As the CAC moto goes: Ponds Done Right & Customers Served Right
